Possible solutions

The lights on your L'OR BARISTA coffee machine will help you use, clean, and maintain your machine. Please find below the meanings of the different lights on the L'OR BARISTA machine:

  1. The on/off button flashes quickly: the water tank is empty or incorrectly positioned.
  2. The selected coffee button flashes slowly: the machine is brewing your coffee.
  3. The selected coffee button flashes quickly: the type of coffee selected is in "programming" mode or new parameters are saved.
  4. The lights of the Ristretto and Lungo buttons flash simultaneously after the coffee has been brewed: this means that it is time to descale the machine to avoid any build-up of limescale that could clog the circuit.

Performance

The L'OR BARISTA coffee machine has been created to work with L'OR classic espresso capsules and L'OR BARISTA double espresso capsules, as well as Nespresso®* capsules and most other compatible capsules, such as Café Royal®*, Carte Noire®, Grand'Mère®*, illy®*, Lavazza®*, Senseo®, and most supermarket brands.

Amount of milk

Always put more milk than the minimum indicated in the milk container.

If limescale has accumulated in the internal circuits of the coffee machine, this can reduce the temperature of the coffee flowing out. Temperature

Several factors can influence the temperature of the coffee after preparation. These tips allow you to optimize the temperature of your coffee prepared with the L'OR BARISTA machine.

Cup size and shape

Thick-walled mugs absorb more heat than thin-walled mugs. For hotter coffee, use a thin-walled cup. Also, to get really hot coffee, don't use a cup that's too big for the coffee you're making. Whenever possible, adjust the size of your cup to the size of the coffee you are brewing.

Cup and machine temperature

Place a cup under the coffee dispensing nozzles and press one of the coffee brewing buttons without using a capsule to preheat both the cup and the machine. You will notice that the coffee will stay hot longer.

Using milk

By adding cold milk to your coffee, you lower the temperature of your coffee. For a hot latte drink, pre-heat the milk before pouring it into your coffee.

Limescale build-up

If limescale has accumulated in the internal circuits of the coffee machine, this can reduce the temperature of the coffee flowing out. To avoid this, descale your L'OR BARISTA coffee machine regularly. Mechanical

If you are unable to open the lever of your L'OR BARISTA coffee machine, one of two situations may be the cause:

Let the machine rest for 45 minutes to an hour, and try to open the lever again. You may need to force it a little.

Please contact us if the problem persists.

If you are unable to close the lever of your L'OR BARISTA coffee machine, one of the following may be the cause:

- The used capsule drawer is full. If the used capsule drawer is full, you cannot close the lever of the machine. Empty the used capsule drawer and try again.

Remove the capsule and insert it again. Follow the steps below if you are unable to remove the capsule:

1. Remove the drip tray and used capsule drawer.

2. Try pushing or pulling the capsule from below.

3. You may need to move the lever slightly.

Do not force the lever if it becomes difficult to close. If you are using compatible plastic capsules, you may need to press harder on the lever to close it than with aluminium capsules.

Please contact us if the problem persists.
