Roasted coffee beans facts

A misconception about the colours of coffee beans is that dark roast and light roast coffee beans actually have a similar amount of caffeine. An opposing view held by many is that the darker the roast level, the lower a bean’s caffeine since much of it is lost or "burned off" during roasting. The truth is that caffeine changes very little during a roast, and that the amount is the same.
